Celebrating Muskogee’s 2024 Business and Industry Award Winners at Three Forks Harbor

The 2024 Business and Industry Celebration, held on October 8th, at Three Forks Harbor Robinson Gallery and Event Center, brought together Muskogee’s business owners, manufacturers, and community leaders to recognize their significant contributions and achievements. Hosted biennially by Port Muskogee, Indian Capital Technology Center-Muskogee, and the Greater Muskogee Chamber of Commerce, the event highlighted the key role these organizations play in driving the city’s prosperity and growth.

The evening showcased several exceptional companies and individuals who have made lasting impacts on the local economy:

Award Recipients

Expansion of the Year: CaptiveAire
CaptiveAire was recognized for their remarkable investment of nearly $30 million, which expanded their facility and created over 80 new jobs. Their growth represents a substantial commitment to Muskogee’s economy and workforce development.

Perseverance Award: Vallourec
Vallourec received the Perseverance Award, a testament to their resilience following the 2019 flood. Their successful recovery has helped solidify their role as the North American hub for Gulf of Mexico operations, supporting vital industry sectors.

Diddy Pennington Award: Marsha Wiseman
Marsha Wiseman was honored with the Diddy Pennington Award for her exceptional contributions to the Muskogee community. Her dedication to local causes and development initiatives exemplifies the community spirit that drives Muskogee forward.

Century Club Inductees: Mabrey Bank & Oklahoma Gas and Electric
Mabrey Bank, with roots as Citizens Bank, and Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) were both inducted into the Muskogee Century Club. This prestigious recognition celebrates their long-standing commitments to community welfare and economic growth.

Small Business of the Year: ServPro
ServPro has been instrumental in providing water, fire, and mold remediation services to the community. Their involvement and expertise have made them a trusted partner in times of need.

Large Business of the Year: Trafera
Trafera, a leading distributor of educational technology, was honored for its significant contributions to the local economy. Their commitment to providing tech solutions to over 80% of K-12 schools across Oklahoma underscores their impact on regional education and development.

Port Partner of the Year: Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT)
ODOT was celebrated for their efforts in advancing Muskogee’s waterway infrastructure and engaging in long-term planning for regional development. Their work aligns with the Port’s mission to strengthen transportation and industrial ties across the area.

As a special conclusion to the event, attendees enjoyed a barge ride symbolizing the shared journey of growth and prosperity for Muskogee’s business community. Port Muskogee expresses gratitude to all who contributed to this event, including OG&E, ONG, Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance, Saint Francis Health Systems, Muskogee Brewing Company, Love Bottling Co., and Green Country LED.
